Hawks place third at Holley/Kendall Tourney
Greece took top honors at the annual Holley/Kendall Team Tournament today going 5-0.
Eastridge placed second at 4-1 and Holley/Kendall third at 3-2 as North Rose-Wolcott went 2-3, Canisius 1-4 and Campbell-Savona 0-5.
Holley/Kendall defeated Campbell-Savona 60-21, North Rose-Wolcott 61-26 and Canisius 54-29 but lost to Greece 49-33 and Eastridge 37-36.
Tristyn Moyer went 5-0 for Holley/Kendall as Jayden Pieniaszek, Dalton Moyer, Braxton Leary-Hart, David Farruggia, Nate Schoonmaker and Chad Miller were all 4-1, Brandon Gardner and Nate Silversmith 3-2 and Dylan Spellan 2-2.
Tristyn Moyer, Pieniaszek, Dalton Moyer and Leary-Hart were all named to the All-Tournament team.
Tonawanda Duals
Reese Ledford and Jeff Gress Jr. both went 6-1 and Chase Stinson 5-2 for Lyndonville at the Tonawnada Duals.
In the team competition, Lyndonville went 0-7 losing 55-24 to Tonawanda, 39-27 to West Seneca West, 60-30 to Starpoint, 66-23 to Newfane, 74-12 to Clarence, 51-18 to Niagara Falls and 48-24 to Amherst.
Byron-Bergen Tournament
Medina’s Colby Petrie (113) placed second for Medina at the Byron-Bergen Tournament. In the JV competition for the Mustangs, DaRon Bellan placed first and Travis Wiseman fourth.
