Hawks place second at S. Seneca Duals

Going 4-1 on the day, the Holley High wrestling squad placed second at the South Seneca Duals today.

Holley defeated Letchworth 35-28, Odessa-Montour 54-22, South Seneca 45-33 and Wayland-Cohocton 66-15 but lost to Hannibal 42-37. That setback cost the Hawks the title which was determined by a criteria decision as the top teams took turns defeating each other.

Chris Yockel and Nick Shenck both went 5-0 on the day for Holley to earn spots on the All-Tournament team.

The Hawks also had Nathan Schoonmaker, Clarence Moyer, Braxton Leary-Hart, Zach Day and Austen Vroman all go 4-1, Ross Pinson 3-1 and Brandon Gardner, Erik Balys, Dalton Moyer and Cameron Thorn were all 3-2.
