Hawks battle to tie with Blue Devils

Rebounding from an early deficit, Holley rallied to earn a 1-1 overtime tie with visiting Attica this evening in a Genesee Region League boys soccer game.

Attica grabbed a quick 1-0 lead when Logan Veley scored just nine minutes in.

Holley, which rattled several shots off both the cross bar and the post, rallied into a tie when Matt Skehan scored on a penalty kick in the second half..

Neither team could find the net in the two 10 minute overtime periods.

Holley is now 2-4-2 in G-R action and Attica 2-6-1.

The contest starts a busy stretch of three home games in four days for the Hawks which host rival Kendall at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Pembroke at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
