Hawk grapplers best Tigers

Holley opened defense of its Genesee Region League title with a 48-30 victory at Lyndonville this evening.

Sub minute pins by Martin Beadle (138), Jake Bailey (220) and Lucas Silvis (285) along with a third period fall by Brandon Morrell (106) highlighted Holley’s victory.

Ryan Camacho (145) and Kevin Avery (152) both scored decision wins for Holley which also benefitted from three forfeit wins.

Tony Recco (113) had the fastest pin of the night for Lyndonville in just 21 seconds.

Jeff Gress Jr. (99) also had a sub minute pin, Tom Follman (160) a first period fall and Dawson Joy (145) a second period pin for the Tigers which also got decision wins from Chris McDonald (132) and Dustin Hinkley (126).

Newfane 64, Barker/Roy-Hart 22
Host Newfane downed the newly merged Barker/Roy-Hart squad 64-22 in the Niagara-Orleans League opener.

Paul Dunbar, Cyrus Simmons, Dylan Schank andJordan Brawley all notched pins for Newfane.

Cameron Swick and James Brady both had pins and a Tyler Choate a major decision win for Barker/Roy-Hart.
