H.S. basketball wrapping up regular season

Regular season high school basketball action will wind up this coming week.

In the Niagara-Orleans League, undefeated (10-0) Newfane has already locked up outright possession of the boys’ championship while unbeaten (10-0) Wilson has clinched at least a tie for the girls’ title.

The title is the third in the last six years for Newfane. The Panthers shared the crown with Albion at 9-3 during the 2019-20 season and with Medina at 10-2 during the 2017-18 campaign.

The championship is Wilson’s fifth in a row and 13th in the last 14 years.

The Section V tournament seeding meetings are scheduled for Friday and the Section VI meetings for Saturday.
