VanWycke defeats incumbent Krull for Carlton highway superintendent

Joe Grube won the Republican Primary today for Gaines Town Supervisor, 171-101, over incumbent Carol Culhane.

Grube was the endorsed candidate. He will face Culhane again on Nov. 7 because she has the endorsement of the Conservative Party.

Culhane ran in the primary with Susan Smith, an incumbent Town Board member. She was in a three-way battle for two seats on the Town Board. Smith received 132 votes, the least of the three candidates with Jim Kirby, 208, and Tyler Allport, 153, winning the Republican lines.
