Green will be competing in the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship this week

Continuing a busy summer of major golf tournament competition, Medina’s Melanie Green will be competing in the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship this coming week at Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It will be Green’s second appearance at the Women’s Amateur championship as she advanced to the match play round of 64 in 2022.
The tournament will begin with rounds of stroke play competition on both Monday and Tuesday. The field will then be cut to the low 64 scorers for the match play portion of the tourney which begins on Wednesday. Match play will continue on Thursday with the quarterfinals on Friday, the semis on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.
She is scheduled to tee off for the first round at 8:28 a.m. Monday (Central time) on the first hole.
Green has had excellent success in match play competition this summer as she won the R&A British Women’s Amateur championship and also helped Team USA win the Arnold Palmer Cup, which both featured match play.
