Green, Shoemaker team up to win qualifier
Contributed Photo – Medina High senior Melanie Green competed in the US Women’s Amateur Four Ball qualifier on Oct 8th at The Apawamis Club in Rye, NY. Green is shown here at the left with her playing partner, Bailey Shoemaker of West Edmeston, NY. They shot a 70 and won in a 4 hole play off. They will be going to the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four Ball championships at Quail Creek Country Club, Naples Fl. April 25-29 2020. Interestingly Green and Shoemaker have finished 1-2 at the New York State High school championships the last two years.
