Green repeats as WNY Jr PGA champion

Making a successful title defense, Medina’s Melanie Green captured the Western New York Jr PGA championship today at the Glen Oak course in East Amherst.
Green, who recently captured her second straight state high school championship, posted a 36 hole total of 141 today on rounds of 71 and 70 for a two shot victory.
She registered a total of 8 birdies on the day.
In the boys WNY Jr PGA championship, Medina’s Ian Wagner placed fifth with a one under par total of 143 on rounds of 74 and 69.
