Green qualifies for U.S. Women’s Open

Medina High graduate Melanie Green has qualified for the upcoming U.S. Women’s Open.
Green earned a spot in the major event by finishing second at a qualifying tournament held over the past two days at Forest Country Club in Florida.
She posted a score of 138 for the tourney on rounds of 68 and 70.
Green is coming off a strong sophomore season at the University of South Florida where she earned American Athletic All Conference honors for the second year in a row.
