Green places 4th at conference championships

Putting together a strong finish, Medina High graduate and University of South Florida junior Melanie Green placed fourth at the American Athletic Conference golf championship tournament held this week at the Southern Hills Gold Club in Brooksville, Florida.
Birding three of the final four holes, Green shot a 70 on the final round Wednesday.
She finished with a three day tournament total score of five under par 211 after firing rounds of 67 and 74 over the first two days.
The top 10 finish was her eighth in 10 events during the Bulls 2022-23 season.
Green, who has earned American Athletic All Conference honors the past two years, led the Bulls to a fifth place finish in the tournament’s final team standings.
