Green leads USF to season opening golf win

Medina High graduate and University of South Florida senior Melanie Green helped lead the Bulls to a season opening victory at the Badger Invitational golf tournament in Madison, Wisconsin this past week.
Green shot a 4 under par 68 on the final round of the three day, 54 hole tournament to help the Bulls score a 13 shot victory.
Green finished with a 54 hole total of 4 under par 212.
She led the field in par 4 scoring with a -3 and was fourth in birdies with 11 over the 54 holes.
South Florida will next compete in the Glass City Invitational at Toledo, Ohio this coming week.
A four year starter for the Bulls, Green was a three-time Section VI and a two-time state champion during her scholastic days at Medina.
