Green has very successful pro golf debut
Making a sparkling professional debut, Medina’s Melanie Green placed second recently at the 25th Maryland Women’s Open Golf Tournament.
Finishing two shots back of the leader, Green posted a two over par total of 146 on rounds of 72 and 74 at the tourney which was held at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland. The tourney is not part of the LPGA tour schedule.
Green now will be looking to earn her coveted LPGA Tour Card when she competes in the LPGA’s Q-Series Final Stage Tournament which will be held December 5-9 at Mobile, Alabama.
In between, Green is looking to compete in a couple of NXXT Women’s Pro Golf Tour events in November. The NXXT tour has a partnership with the Epson Tour, which is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA.
