Green has strong regular season finish

Medina High graduate and University of South Florida junior Melanie Green capped off the Bulls regular season in strong fashion with a four under par round of 68 in the final round of the Chattanooga Classic on Tuesday.
That round, which included an eagle and six birdies, enabled Green to finish the three day tournament with a one over par 217 total (74-75-68) and a tie for 14th place.
She helped the Bulls finish in fourth place in the team standings.
Green, who is now ranked 41st in the nation, has had 10 rounds in the 60’s, 18 rounds of par or better and seven top 10 finishes in nine events for the Bulls so far during the 2022-23.
An All Conference selection in each of her two years, Green will next be competing in the American Athletic Conference Tournament April 17-19.
During her scholastic days at Medina Green was a three time Section VI and two time state champion.
