Green earns invitation to play at Augusta

Melanie Green has earned an invitation to play at the home of The Masters – Augusta.
Green, a Medina High graduate and a senior at the University of South Florida, has been invited to play in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament April 3-6.
Green, who earned All America Honorable Mention last year, is a three time All American Conferance honoree and a two time NCAA Tournament qualifier.
Heading into the Spring portion of her final year, she holds several career USF records including scoring average (72.13). rounds of par pf better (46) and is second on career birdiies with 258.
During the Fall portion of the Bulls golf season she placed in the top four in all four events including two seconds, a third and a fourth.
