Green advances at LPGA-Q Series

Moving one big step closer to earning her LPGA Tour Card, Medina’s Melanie Green finished one shot back at the LPGA Q-Series Qualifying Stage Tournament this past week in Venice, Florida.
Green finished the four day event with a 275 total after rounds of 71-68-70-66.
She had 6 birdies and no bogies on her final round of 6 under par 66 which vaulted her from 9th place to the runner-up spot.
The top 35 finishers now qualify for the Q-Series Final Stage Tournament which will be held December 5-9 at Mobile, Alabama.
Players now have until November 15 to declare that they are turning professional in order to be able to compete in the Final Stage Tournament.
Green graduated from the University of South Florida this past spring where she was a multi year All-Conference and All American honoree.
