Gowanda stickmen rally to edge Medina
Gowanda rallied in the fourth quarter to edge past visiting Medina 16-14 this evening in a Class D Division lacrosse game that was delayed for an hour by lightning.
Medina led 7-6 at the half and 13-11 after three quarters but Gowanda rallied with a 5-1 scoring edge in the decisive final period to claim the win.
Mitchell Silversmith scored 5 goals to lead Medina as Zach Blount and Josh Wilson both had 3, Zaric Boyce 2 and Jacob Rissew 1.
Now at 4-3 in the division, Medina next hosts Wilson at 6 p.m. Thursday.
