Eight returnees form a good nucleus as the Lyndonville/Medina girls varsity soccer team prepares for its second season of Genesee Region League competition.

That veteran group includes seniors Morgan Allis (Defender), Miranda Zelazny (Defender), Olivia Carter (Midfield) and Selena Austin (Goalie) along with junior midfielders Kaylee Nesbitt and Brooklyn Brown and sophomore forwards Ella Lewis and Lily Joe Carpenter.

The Lady Tigers lineup also includes juniors Tessa Boyce, Emma Roush, Corina Kingsbury, Kiera Dent, Gracie Cogovan, Erin Kieffer, Kylie Hinman and sophomore Willow Smith.

“I think we will do very well in the G-R,” said Coach Paul Zeppetella. “I’m excited to get started and the girls are excited.. We’ve got eight returnees and that’s huge. We’ve got some good speed and our defense looks to be strong.”

The Lady Tigers will open the G-R season against Byron-Bergen on September 3 at Lyndonville.
