Golf leagues get underway at Hickory Ridge
Six golf leagues are back in action at Hickory Ridge Golf Resort. The first to report in is the Tuesday Ladies Night Out League.
Taking low gross honors was Deb Wood with a 44 with Karen Berlew at 50 and Cathy Schuth 51 on the tough back nine. Berlew had low net with a 36 followed by Cindy Roberts at 37 and Brenda Powers at 38. Berlew, Wood and Sue Gay all reported birdies.
Standings will be determined next week after all handicaps are determined.
In the Wednesday Night Men’s League Tim Hendrickson and Dick Taylor shared low gross with 39 and Taylor had low net with 31. Raymont Daniels recorded three birdies.
The team of Daniels and Hendrickson head up the standings with The Dennistons in second place. Pfister/Bessell, Taylor/Tyler and Zambito/Toale round out the top 5.
The Thursday Morning Senior Golf League has started their 42nd year of play with over 40 golfers signing in the first week.
Registrations for the league continue every Thursday morning at 8am for any interested seniors. The first in-league tournament is Thursday, June 3 with a scramble format and picnic to follow.
No reports this week for the two Monday or Thursday night leagues.
