Golden Eagle, Rampart icers post wins
Jumping out to an early 3-0 lead, the Tri County Golden Eagles Bantam Travel team went on to defeat the Niagara Ice Hawks 5-3 at Hyde Park today in a Western New York Amateur Hockey League game.
Goals by Patrick Ricker, Jake Espositio and Alonzo Storey earned the early lead for the Golden Eagles which held a 3-1 advantage after one period.
Niagara closed the gap to 3-2 in the third period but Tri County answered with goals by Storey and Trevor Wiesner to put a lock on the win.
The goals were the 8th of the season for Storey, the 5th for Wiesner and the 4th for both Ricker and Esposito.
The Golden Eagles are now 4-2-1 in the league and 5-5-1 overall on the season.
Batavia Ramparts score two wins
The Batavia Ramparts remained unbeaten at 6-0 after defeating host Olean 7-0 on Saturday and visiting Fredonia 10-2 today.
In today’s contest, Corey Saj (Medina) assisted on a goal by Sean Pies and Dominic Peracciny (Roy-Hart) scored an unassisted goal.
Batavia has now outscored its six opponents 58- 4. The Ramparts next game is this Sunday with a home game against Olean.
