Geneseo 9 tops Holley in opener

Three run scoring bursts in both the first and second innings sparked Geneseo to a 10-0 victory over Holley this afternoon in the Hawks non league season opener at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Jon Bower and Joey DeFelice had hits for Holley which next faces North Shore Country Day School on Thursday morning at the Ripken Experience.

Medina to open Thursday

Medina is scheduled to host Williamsville South in the Mustangs non league opener at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Vets Park.

The Mustangs are also scheduled to host Lyndonville at 2 p.m. Friday and Batavia at noon on Monday.

Albion contests cancelled

Albion’s scheduled home game against Depew on Thursday has been cancelled as has the Purple Eagles home softball game against Cheektowaga.
