GCC closing all campus sites on Thursday due to threat of inclement weather
Genesee Community College announced this afternoon it will be closing all campus sites on Thursday due to the “high likelihood of inclement weather and travel disruption.”
The campus centers will operate remotely. Those sites include Medina, Batavia, Arcade, Dansville, Lima and Warsaw.
Buildings & Grounds and Campus Safety personnel are expected to report to campus as scheduled, GCC said.
A lake effect snow warning is in effect from 7 p.m. today until 1 a.m. on Friday for Erie and Genesee counties with 8 to 15 inches of snow expected with winds gusting as high as 40 to 45 miles per hour. Albion and Orleans County are expected to get 2 to 3 inches of snow.
