Gaesser advances in golf sectionals
Kendall High junior Evan Gaesser finished in a tie for third place overall and a share of the Class C title at the Section V individual golf championships on Saturday at Ridgemont County Club.
Gaesser, who captured the Class C title last year, carded a round of 76 to finish in a tie with Zach Chaddock of Fillmore for the C championship.
Gaesser and the other top 20 finishers will now compete in the Section V SuperSectionals Monday at Stafford County Club. The top nine finishers will then comprise the Section V team that will compete in the upcoming state tournament.
