G-R League romps in senior softball contest

Erupting for seven runs in the first inning the Genesee Region League went on to defeat the Livingston County League 14-6 in the senior softball game at Genesee Community College this afternoon.
Ella Lewis (Lyndonville) and Sophi Johnston (Notre Dame) both had RBI triples, Gracie Johnson (Lyndonville) two doubles, Dakota Brinkman (Elba) an RBI double and Allie Schwerthoffer (Pembroke) an RBI single during the decisive first inning uprising.
Johnson also had a two-run double in the third inning which upped the G-R lead to 10-2.
Lewis was named the G-R’s MVP and Brinkman received the Coaches Award.
Kendall’s Grace Robinson is safe at second base ahead of a tag attempt by Warsaw’s Leah O’Geen.
