BARRE – An on-line GoFundMe account has been set up to help Fonda and Donald Carr, who lost their Barre home in a car early Christmas morning.

“On Christmas morning at 4:04 a.m., Don and Fonda’s home of 45 years suddenly exploded. Luckily, they made it out alive with only a cut on Fonda’s head,” Yvonne Feller Freeman sates on the GoFundMe page.

“In 43 years of marriage, this was the home where they raised their children and granddaughter, invited friends and family, and spent all of their time. Now, all they have are the pajamas they were wearing when they escaped, and a melted firebox recovered by firefighters.”
