Fry is Mercyhurst Athlete of the Week

Roy-Hart graduate and Mercyhurst University freshman Maddie Fry has been named the Lakers Female Athlete of the Week.
Fry, a catcher/outfielder on the Mercyhurst softball team, was huge at the plate in helping the Lakers compile a 5-4 record during their annual spring break trip.
She went 17 of 30 at the plate for a ,567 average during that stretch with 7 runs scored and 4 RBI.
Overall, she is hitting .488 on the season.
Fry, whose older sister Taylor also played softball at Mercyhurst, is majoring in Early Childhood/Special Education.
During her scholastic days at Roy-Hart, she was a four-time first team Niagara-Orleans All-League selection and a two-time first team All Western New York honoree.
