Frost advisory in effect tonight in Orleans County

Photos by Marsha Rivers: It was a breathtaking sunset tonight, including in Lyndonville at the waterfalls and dam in front of the school.

A frost advisory is in effect tonight in Orleans County, from midnight to 8 a.m. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s well inland from the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario shorelines which will result in frost formation, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.

The frost advisory is in effect for Orleans, Niagara, Monroe and northern Erie counties.

The frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

The temperatures will warm up to 56 on Saturday, which will be mostly sunny. On Sunday, it will be sunny with a high temperature of 61.

The sunset reflects in Johnson Creek this evening in Lyndonville.
