The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a frost advisory for Orleans County of much of Western New York from midnight to 8 a.m. Thursday.

Temperatures will be in the lower to mid 30s and will result in frost formation.

The frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered. The Weather Service encourages people to take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
