Fresh snow coats the local landscape this morning

ALBION – Traffic moves along Main Street in downtown Albion this morning after while a couple inches of snow fell overnight.

Orleans County and Western New York are under a winter storm warning until 1 p.m. Friday with 6 to 12 inches of snow expected, the national Weather Service in Buffalo said.

Most of the snow accumulation will be this afternoon and tonight, with additional snow likely on Friday, the Weather Service said.

Chad Fabry, owner of the former Swan Library in Albion, shovels the big front steps this morning at the site which is now an office building.

A snow corridor leads to the Gaines Basin canal bridge in Albion.
