The first freeze watch has been issued this season for Orleans County.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo said the freeze watch is in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday morning.
The watch includes Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Monroe, Wayne, northern Cayuga and northern Erie counties.
The Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures are possible, especially inland from the Great Lakes.
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the Weather Service said.
