Freeze warning in effect tonight through Friday morning

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a freeze warning from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. tonight through Friday morning in Orleans County and much of Western and Central New York.

Sub-freezing temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s are expected and could damage or kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

The high temperatures on Friday are expected to reach 42. It will be cold Friday night with temperatures falling to 30.

The Weather Service said there is a chance for snow showers on Saturday, when the high is forecast to reach 41.

Sunday should be sunny with a high near 48.
