Fredonia matmen down Barker/Roy-Hart

MIDDLEPORT – Jumping out to a big early lead, perennial Section VI wrestling power Fredonia went on to defeat Barker/Roy-Hart 42-30 this afternoon in a non league match.
Notching pins in four of the first five bouts, Fredonia jumped out to commanding leads of 27-0 and 36-6.

Barker/Roy-Hart did come battling back to take five straight bouts on a pin by William Jenson, decision wins by Brent Bachman (120), Hayden Hathaway (126) and Ryan Ullrich (138) and a forfeit but could get no closer than nine at 36-27.
James Brady (285) also registered a pin and Erik Herian (152) a decision win for Barker/Roy-Hart.
