Football returns to Lyndonville High as Tigers Modified team wins opener over Notre Dame
Football returned to Lyndonville High for the first time in 50 years on Tuesday at the Modified ‘A’ level as the Tigers blanked host Notre Dame 12-0.
Ayden Porter scored both Tiger touchdowns and rushed for a total of 148 yards.
On defense, Porter and Dom Hargrave both made 11 tackles. Hargrave and Logan Waliszewski both had interceptions and Leebourne Coke a fuble recovery.
Lyndonville last had a varsity football team in 1975.
The Tigers will next host Holley a 5 p.m. on September 17.
