KNOWLESVILLE – Local officials were notified this week there will be one more food distribution in Orleans County this month, in what might be the final one in the program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program.

The schedule had Dec. 11 as the last distribution of the year, but a new one was added for this Friday at the Orleans County 4-H Fairgrounds. There will be 300 boxes of produce and 300 boxes of dairy given away, beginning at about 8:30 a.m. Each vehicle will get one of each box.

All cars must enter the Fairgrounds on Taylor Hill Road. If the line extends out of the Fairgrounds, the line needs to go south on Taylor Hill Road so no traffic will be backed up on Route 31.
