Flood Watch in effect over weekend for Orleans, WNY

The National Weather service warns of a “soaking rain” throughout Western New York from late tonight through much of Sunday. The area is expected to get 2 to 3 inches of rain.
The Weather Service has issued a flood watch from 5 a.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. on Sunday. The flood watch is in effect for Orleans, Niagara, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The Weather Service warns people living in areas prone to flooding to be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
It will be cool over the weekend with Saturday’s high near 66 and Sunday’s near 64, according to the Weather Service.
