Pulling away in the second half, C.G. Finney downed visiting Holley 36-13 this afternoon in a non league football game.

Holley led twice in the first half but Finney rallied to regain the lead for good by scoring a touchdown with just four seconds remaining in the first half.

Holley grabbed an early 7-6 lead as quarterback Nick Passarell threw a 25 yard touchdown pass to Clarence Moyer and Colin Papaj added the extra point kick.

The Hawks again went up 13-12 in the second quarter after a 60 yard touchdown run by Papaj but the game’s final 24 points and the win belonged to Finney.

Holley also got off to a quick start in the third quarter as a 60 yard pass completion by Passarell moved the Hawks to the Finney 16 yard line.

However, a lost fumble wiped out that opportunity and Finney capitalized with a long scoring drive that used the rest of the quarter to break the contest open.

Now at 0-3, Holley next hosts Alexander at 1:30 p.m. next Saturday in a Genesee Region League game.
