Fillies post softball win over Tonawanda
Scoring runs in bunches, the Medina 14U Fillies defeated Tonawanda 20-9 Wednesday in a Metro League softball game.
Kennedy Lampart and Jaclyn Guzdek both had three hits and Kaydi Baker two to lead the offense for the Fillies.
Leading by a narrow 6-4 margin, the Fillies pulled away by scoring four runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Three run scoring bursts in both the sixth and seventh innings then put a lock on the victory.
On Thursday, the Fillies dropped a 12-1 decision to Lockport.
Emily Murphy had a triple for the Fillies.
