Steadily pulling away, Notre Dame posted a 79-44 win over visiting Lyndonville this evening to close out the Genesee Region League girls basketball season.
Montana Weidman scored 23 and Amelia McCulley 20 to spearhead the offense for Notre Dame as Morgan Rhodes added 13, Maylee Green 11, Lindsey Weidman and Jewel Shenck 4 and Judah MacDonald and Sarah McGinnis 2.
Ella Lewis scored 17 and Karlee Rounds 12 to pace Lyndonville as Kaylee Nesbitt had 6, Savannah Poler 4, Lorelei Dillenbeck 3 and Ashlee Stephens 2.
Notre Dame jumped out to a 24-13 first quarter lead as McCulley scored 10, Rhodes 6 and Green and Montana Weidman 4 each.
The Fighting Irish upped the lead to 17, 44-27, at the half. Montana Weidman scored 10, including two threes, and Green 5 in the second stanza.
Lewis scored 10, including a pair of threes, in the period for the Lady Tigers.
Notre Dame boosted the advantage to 22, 60-38, at the three-quarter mark. Montana Weidman had 6 and McCulley and Rhodes 4 each in the third period.
Notre Dame finishes the regular season at 13-7 overall and Lyndonville 8-12.
Oakfield-Alabama 47, Holley 27
Oakfield-Alabama completed a 13-7 regular season with a 47-27 G-R League victory over visiting Holley (2-18).
