Fast start sparks Pembroke girls past Albion

Jumping out to a 14 point first quarter lead, Pembroke went on to defeat Albion 38-23 in a non league girls basketball game at Albion this evening.
Back-to-back three’s by Elle Peterson and Morgan Coniber ignited an 18-4 first quarter scoring surge by Pembroke which went on to hold leads of 27-5 at the half and 31-17 at the three-quarter mark.
Coniber and Peyton Liss each scored 11 on the evening as Seneca Calderon added 8, Peterson 5 and Reagan Schneider 3 for the Dragons.
Madison Hughson scored 9, Julia Knight 7, Alison Gibson 5 and Paige Newton 2 for Albion which is now 0-2.
Pembroke’s Peyton Liss grabs a rebound as Albion’s Julia Knight tries to knock the ball away. Morgan Coniber comes in to support for Pembroke.
