Fast start sparks Lady Tigers to victory

Racing out to a commanding 24 point first quarter lead, Lyndonville went on to post a 63-25 victory over visiting Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School from Rochester in a non league girls basketball game this evening.

Addison Dillenbeck scored 9, Ashlee Stephens 8, Lorelei Dillenbeck 5 and Haley Shaffer and Annabelle Follman 2 each in the decisive opening period as the Lady Tigers grabbed a 26-2 lead.

Shaffer, Follman and Madison Davis then each had 4 points and Hannah Fox hit a three in the second quarter to help Lyndonville extend the advantage to 31, 41-10, at the half.

Lyndonville, which improves to 4-2, led 54-13 after three quarters.

Addison Dillenbeck finished with 14, Stephens 12, Lorelei Dillenbeck and Follman 8, Shaffer and Davis 6, Fox 5 and Shelby Boring 4. Stephens also had 9 rebounds and 5 steals, Shaffer 10 assists and 7 rebounds and Addison Dillenbeck 7 rebounds.

Emmi Veras led de Hostos with 12 points.

Kendall 39, Medina 23
Kendall bested visiting Medina 39-23 in a non league contest as Taigan Guerrero had 14, Ava LaMay 7 and Mary Jones and Lauren Pilon 4 each. LaMay also grabbed off 10 rebounds..

Rylee VanNostrand scored 15 and Stella Poler 6 for Medina.

Oakfield-Alabama 54, Albion 32
Oakfield-Alabama topped Albion 54-32 in a non league contest.

Makena Reding scored a game high 16 points to pace O-A which led 41-7 at the half.

Madison Hughson led Albion with 8.

Alexander 39, Holley 18

In a Genesee Region League game, Alexander defeated Holley 39-18.

Alyssa Kramer led Alexander with 18 and Alivia Wolf was high scorer for Holley with 11.
