Roaring out to a 20-0 lead in the first five minutes, Kendall went on to defeat host Lyndonville 54-38 in a key Genesee Region League game this evening.

Libby Snyder scored 8 and Alzeya Brown, Emma Allen and T’Mia Kitchings each netted 4 to spark Kendall out to the fast start as Lyndonville struggled through an 0-16 field goal shooting drought during that stretch.

Kendall led 20-4 at the end of the opening period and upped the advantage to 21, 29-8, after opening the second quarter with a 9-4 run including jumpers by Brown and Allen.

Lyndonville did come battling back with a 13-2 run, including 6 by Karlee Rounds and 5 by Gracie Johnson, to cut the deficit to 10, 31-21, but the Lady Tigers could get no closer.

Back-to-back layups by Snyder and Allen to close the period put Kendall back up by 14, 35-21, at the half and the Lady Eagles maintained a 20 point, 49-29, lead at the three-quarter mark. Brown scored 6 and Snyder 4 to lead the Lady Eagles in the third period.

Brown and Snyder both finished with 17 as Allen added 10, Kitchings 6 and Julie Coble and Kailie Regan 2 each.
