Fast start sparks Hawks to 3rd straight win
A huge 30 point first quarter propelled Holley to a 42-20 victory over host Red Jacket this afternoon as the Hawks improve to 3-0 in 8 Man Division football competition.
Quarterback Destin Kuyal completed three touchdown passes to Vinny Golisano covering 29, 35 and 12 yards and also ran 52 yards for another score in the decisive opening quarter. Kuyal, Golisano and Hunter-Jewell Smith all added two-point conversions during that stretch.
The Hawks went on to hold leads of 30-6 at the half and 42-20 after three quarters.
Kuyal had a total of 5 touchdown passes on the day including another to Golisano covering 12 yards and one to Avante Walker covering 23 yards.
Golisano and Kevin Robinson both had interceptions on defense for the Hawks.
Holley next hosts Bolivar-Richburg at 1 p.m. next Saturday.
