Fast start sparks Batavia past Tri County icers
Scoring three quick goals in the first half of the opening period, Batavia went on to defeat the Tri County Midget hockey team 7-2 Sunday evening at Batavia.
Batavia led 3-0 at the end of the first period and 4-0 early in the second before Tri County scored on a goal by Patrick Ricker.
Josh Gimeli netted Tri County’s other goal in the third period.
Now at 0-6-2, Tri County next faces Webster at Brockport on December 29.
