Fast start powers Medina past Newfane
Medina used a fast start to defeat host Newfane 4-1 this morning in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.
The Mustangs roared out to a 3-0 first quarter led on two goals by Iyla Lilleby and one by Lydia Fox.
Another goal by Fox in the second period upped the Medina advantage to 4-0.
Medina is now 4-2 and Newfane 0-6 at the halfway mark of the N-O season.
