A huge first inning scoring burst powered Holley to a 10-4 victory over visiting Pembroke this afternoon keeping the Hawks perfect at 5-0 in Genesee Region League baseball competition.

Trailing 1-0, Holley erupted for 7 runs in the home half of the first highlighted by a two-run double by Lucas Silvis and an RBI double by Joe DeFelice. Nick Passarell and Dylan Hillabush followed up with singles to help cap off the uprising which was ignited by an error and a walk.

DeFelice and Josh Porter each had three hits on the day. DeFelice’s hits included a triple.

Jon Bower picked up the win on the mound as he allowed only 3 hits and struck out 12 in six innings of work on the mound.
