Fast start powers Black Knights past Rams

A big turnover aided 24 point first quarter scoring burst keyed Silver Creek/Forestville to a 36-12 victory over host Roy-Hart this evening in a Class C North Division game.

Two big turnovers, a 50 yard interception return for a touchdown by Macadam Gadewoltz and a fumble recovery deep in Roy-Hart territory which set up a 3 yard TD run by Angel Caraballo, helped the Black Knights jump out to a commanding 24-0 lead. Gadewoltz also caught a 15 yard TD pass from quarterback Austin Rott for the big quarter’s other tally.

The Black Knights upped the lead to 36-0 in the third quarter on touchdown runs of 1 yard by Kaleb Hycner and 7 yards by Caraballo.

Roy-Hart got on the scoreboard with 1:39 remaining in the third quarter on an 85 yard interception return for a touchdown by Mark Sanders.

The Rams other touchdown came on a 22 yard pass from quarterback Charlie Brigham to Charlie Bruning with 3:54 to go in the fourth quarter.

Roy-Hart had one drive stopped on downs at the Black Knights 4 late in the second quarter and another halted on downs at the visitors 23 midway through the final stanza.

Defensively, Lance Krieger had a fumble recovery for Roy-Hart and on special teams Austin Kelly blocked a punt.

Silver Creek/Forestville is now 2-1 and Roy-Hart 0-3.
