Fall high school practice openers: Part 2
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Football kicked things off on Saturday and today the rest of the high school fall sports teams began practice including boys and girls soccer, field hockey, volleyball, cross-country and golf. Here members of the Roy-Hart girls varsity soccer team go through a ball control drill. The Lady Rams will open the season by competing in the Holley Tournament on August 30 and September 1. The opening round will have RoyHart vs. Aquinas and Holley vs. Canisteo-Greenwood.
It was close range action during this drill by the Holley boys soccer squad. The Hawks will open the Genesee Region League season at Alexander/Attica on September 12.
Medina varsity field hockey players work on a shooting drill at Vets Park this evening. The Mustangs will open the Niagara-Orleans League season at Roy-Hart on September 6.
