Falcons score tourney win over host Eagles
Building up a 17 point half-time advantage, CG Finney went on to down the host Eagles 70-42 in the semifinals of the Kendall Tournament this evening.
Kendall will now face Medina in the consolation game at 2:15 p.m. Saturday followed by the championship game between Finney and East Rochester.
Ethan Krogg scored 19, Xavier Owens 18 and Braelen Broome 13 to spark the Falcons which led 24-14 after the first quarter, 37-20 at the half and 54-37 at the three-quarter mark.
The Eagles did cut the deficit to 11 twice in the third period but could get no closer.
Louis Conte scored 13, Austin Werth 10, Hunter Richards 9, Jacek Kwiatkowski 7 and Austin Wakefield 3 for Kendall.
Wrestling
Lyndonville went 3-6 at the Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines Scuffle Wrestling Tournament which concluded today.
Bolivar Richburg went 9-0 to win the two-day tourney as Bath Haverling was second at 8-1.
Lyndonville defeated Franklinville 36-30, Campbell-Savona 54-9 and Fillmore/Keshequa 45-17 but lost to Bolivar-Richburg 42-23, Portville 39-15, Arkport 42-33, Olean 36-30, Bath 47-18 and Maple Grove 34-33.
