Errors cost Somerset in loss to Orchard Park
Hampered by a rash of errors, Somerset dropped a 10-2 decision to host Orchard Park this evening in a Lockport Midget ‘A’ League game.
Breaking way from a 1-1 deadlock, Orchard Park capitalized on errors to score 5 runs in the third inning and 4 more in the sixth.
Somerset scored solo runs in the second and sixth innings on RBI singles by Evan Ecker and Dan Enget.
Ryan Voss and Preston Harris also had doubles and Logan Harris a single for Somerset’s other hits.
Now at 6-3, Somerset next hosts Albion at 6 p.m. Thursday.
On Monday, Tri City downed Roy-Hart 11-1 in another Midget ‘A’ contest.
Noah Draper and Steven Wagner had the only hits for Roy-Hart.
