The boating season came to an end on Wednesday on the 201st anniversary on the canal’s opening in 1825. This was the 202nd season the canal was open to boaters. The Canal Corp. anticipates the 203rd season will open in May.

Albion physical education teacher Bridgette Varin led a group of students in using kayaks on the canal on Sept. 28. The students also took the kayaks to Lake Alice.
